Overview of Technologies Affecting Photography

There are quite a few technologies that have affected modern photography, several of these including Aperture, raw photography, and cameras. All of these different forms of technology have played a huge role in photography today. They have also helped to develop and form the career that photography has become.
Aperture, a program founded by Apple, keeps track of photos that are uploaded to the program and organizes them. It also offers a variety of tools, making it possible to edit each and every photograph. This program also allows you to zoom into the picture and adjust the color levels. For later use, Aperture also stores all images on the hard drive or in the program itself, making them easily accessible.
Raw photography, also known as digital negatives, is a file that contains all the information that is necessary to create an actual image, just like a film negative. These images have the ability to be zoomed in more than the image itself. A major disadvantage of raw photography is the software that is uses. With technology quickly advancing, raw photography files may not be visible with new upcoming programs.
Cameras play a huge role in the career of photography. This portable image-capturing device basically creates photography, allowing photos to be captured and printed out. Modern digital cameras have made it possible to view the image on a screen of the camera. This device also includes a focus feature and the ability to zoom in and out.

Detailed Overview of Cameras

Cameras have had the greatest impact in the workflow of photography. They have developed tremendously over the past century, while simultaneously advancing the career of photography.
The first black-and-white photograph ever taken was in the mid 1820’s by Nicephore Niepce, where he used a wooden box camera. It took an approximate eight hours to develop the image. Around forty years later, James Clerk Maxwell took the first color photograph.
In 1888, Kodak came out with the first easy-to-use camera, making the future for cameras to look bright. Within the next couple decades Kodak continued to bring out more technologically advanced cameras, inventing the Instamatic; a compatible and easily portable camera.
Cameras today have the ability to upload digital images to a computer in just a couple of seconds. Pictures can also be exposed within a matter of time, and can be enlarged without being pixilated, depending on the type of camera.
Cameras that are used in the career of photography have been technologically advanced in many ways, including the ability to focus better and zoom in multiple times. Cameras that are used for photography also have digital screens, giving you the option to see the image, and even delete it if you want. In cameras, there are also many different sizes of memory cards that can be inserted into them – some that can take up to several thousand pictures.
Overall, cameras have indeed enhanced the career of photography today, and will definitely continue to do so in the future.

Advantages & Disadvantages of Cameras

With the fast developing technology of cameras, there are several advantages to it. Some of these include the ability to upload images and burn them to CD’s quickly, and being able to view the pictures on the display screen of the camera. Digital images can also be easily edited and color levels of photos can be changed using different softwares such as Aperture, Adobe Photoshop, or several other programs that are available and easily accessible.
There are several drawbacks to the advancing technology of cameras as well. One of them is that jobs are being cut from the photography industry, because developing and printing photos can now be done online. Therefore, many people in the industry will be put out of their jobs. If technology continues to advance at such a rapid pace, a lot people will lose their jobs because machines will be able to do it for them. Another disadvantage to new cameras is the cost of them. Since digital cameras are continuing to come out with more advanced features, the cost of these devices is bound to increase. However, there is a positive side to this, because although cameras cost a lot, getting them developed costs less because it is done electronically and does not require as much money to print.
Although there are quite a few drawbacks to the advancing technology of cameras, it is overall a worthwhile device that has many useful features and has improved today’s technology in many ways, and will surely continue to do so.

Futuristic Vision of Cameras & Photography

Technology has rapidly advanced over the past few decades, not only with cameras but also with every piece of technology possible. Surely, digital cameras will technologically enhance over the next few years. A few predictions of the future of digital cameras are: the size and weight of them will decrease – maybe even making them pocketsize, the zoom in and focus ability, and several others.
Size and weight will, without-a-doubt, decrease over the next couple of years. On iMac laptops, cameras are already the size of your pinky finger, which means that it will only be a matter of time before digital cameras be tremendously decreased in size and weight.
Cameras already have the ability to zoom in several times, but they will probably be able to zoom in many more times with future cameras. Another possibility is being able to focus. Zoom in and focusing play an important role in the career of photography, because photographers want to take images that only they will be able to take. If they have a camera with a high-depth zoom in, they have more ability to take unique pictures.
Lastly, digital cameras already have the ability to upload photographs to a computer easily, however, in the future cameras will most likely be able to upload pictures without connecting anything to the computer. Wireless transporting of information is becoming a huge part of our society today with the advancing technology, and will most likely play a huge role with digital cameras in the future. With fast uploading techniques, photographers can take more and more pictures and have them on a website or printed off within a matter of time.
Technology will definitely advance in the future, and digital cameras are going to be a huge part of that advancing technology. The future for cameras and photography in general looks bright.
